Best Credit Union
Three locations in Lawrence
Last year, KU Credit Union changed its name to Truity Credit Union.
The name change has paid off.
“It has gone pretty smoothly,” said Jordan Schuette, business development officer at Truity Credit Union.
She said there were some credit union members who were sad to see the name change, but it made business sense so that all of the branches in the Bartlesville, Okla.-based credit union would have the same name.
Truity was chosen because it was a combination of “trust” and “integrity.”
Schuette said the credit union tries to live up to its motto: “To provide unsurpassed experiences.”
“We try to provide excellent member services,” she said.
Truity is the credit union for the Lawrence school district and is connected to the community in numerous ways, donating money and making sponsorships.
Truity was founded in 1939. In addition to Lawrence and Bartlesville, it also has branches in Houston and Springdale, Ark.
