First lady Laura Bush and the family dogs Barney, foreground, and
Spot unveil this year's Christmas tree in the Blue Room at the
White House. The Bush dogs dutifully followed Mrs. Bush Thursday as
she went from room to room. But Spot was decidedly more obedient
than Barney, who wandered busily on his own agenda.
