Dave Werdin-Kennicott works on carving a Buddha out of a dead locust tree at 1633 University Drive for Dr. Dave and Gunda Hiebert. Werdin-Kennicott has been working since early June on the sculpture, a replica of the Standing Amida Buddha (lower left) housed at the Spencer Museum of Art.
