Wayne Propst, a local performance artist, won this year’s Phoenix Award for Performance Art. “Some may view Wayne not as a serious artist, but a prankster, a jokester, a social satirist and/or social critic. He is, in fact, all of them,” writes artist Roger Shimomura in support of Propst’s nomination.
