Liberty Hall is getting ready to make a big change, going from 35-millimeter film to digital. Mick Cottin has been running the old projector for the past 11 years and thinks the change will be for the good.

Liberty Hall ready to retire a silver-screen legend

The days of 35-millimeter film are numbered, and unlike many small theaters across the country, Liberty Hall will live on and become part of the digital age, tossing the old film projectors and their reels aside. If all goes according to plan, that new era begins Nov. 1.

Mick hasn't worked there for 11 years. I was running that projector from 1993 until mid-summer 2003 and I have never heard of Mick before this article (I moved to KC a few months later so he might have worked there for 10 years)
