Description

Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the Kemper Museum boasts a growing permanent collection of modern and contemporary art and presents 10-12 special exhibitions each year.

The Kemper Museum holds a permanent collection, runs special exhibitions and educational programs and is home to the celebrated Cafe Sebastienne. The Kemper Museum is free and open to the public.

For recorded information about the Museum, please call 816-561-3737. The galleries at Kemper East are open TuesdayFriday, 10:00 a.m.4:00 p.m. The Museum is closed Mondays and January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving, and December 25.

Parking
Free parking is available in designated lots at the Museum; along Warwick Boulevard; and in the Kemper Museum parking lot, located at the corner of Warwick Boulevard and 44th Street.

Cafe Sebastienne
The intimate cafe setting enhances innovative menu selections by one of Kansas City's most creative gourmet chefs, Jennifer Maloney. The cafe is open to the public for lunch Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and for dinner Friday and Saturday, 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Museum Shop
Adjacent to the grand atrium, the Museum Shop features one-of-a-kind works of art for sale to the public, as well as exhibition catalogues, posters, and notecards. The shop is open during regular Museum hours.

Educational Programs and Events
Lectures, film and video series, performances, and educational events are offered on a regular basis throughout the year.

Tours and Group Information
Tours for ten or more are available by appointment, preferably made two weeks in advance. Please call 816-753-5784 and ask for the education department to schedule group tours.
