This pizza I find best if eaten as soon as its out of the oven. It seems every time I order the wheat pizza for delivery, it gets cold quick and there is not much sauce. It is not my favorite but it is not the worst either.
Wheat State makes the best pizza ever! They have so many specialty pizzas available, and if you don't like any of those, they do a deal where you can create your own pizza with 6 of your favorite toppings! Also, they deliver anywhere in Lawrence which I love (a lot of places don't deliver to me in North Lawrence)
By far the best tasting wheat crust pizza in Lawrence. Wheat State has an impressive selection of quality toppings, cheeses, crusts, sauces, and is reasonably priced! All they need to do is start selling pizza by the slice and they will be #1 in Lawrence.
I have to say that I like the regular dough better than the wheat, but, both are good. The sauce is a tad sweet, but good, and they're not stingy with the toppings. They may be priced a little more than some pizza places, but I like supporting a local business. They're consistently friendly and courteous, and delivery is prompt, with the pizza still being hot.
