Lawrence artists Kenneth Kupfer and Clint Ricketts and curator Alicia Kelly join me to talk about their new exhibit at the Love Garden, "Take Two and Call Me in the Morning." In this podcast, Ricketts and Kupfer touch on cops, drug use, Walt Disney's Masonic rank, mushroom cults, hidden messages in cartoons and occasionally art. The mystery of b.d. eek — local street artist and collaborator for this exhibit who was not present for this podcast — is also discussed. An argument about sports even managed to slip in there, too.

DaMn! I am officially done working in Garage Band...it keeps randomly cutting out dialogue for no reason...but all in all I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. What DO YOU THINK?

My apologies for not making it the event interview Mr. BARRR. I was indisposed at the time. The podcast turned out to be a champ, a real winner. All the music choices are the shiznit. I can't believe Kenneth revealed us or me to be what we or I are, three Asian dudes who can from like Voltron into one much larger Asian, who can then make art with normal sized utensils.
I also appreciate the following: the drug references the discussion of 2012 Kenneth's $100 bet about 'shrooms Alicia, Kenneth, Clint and Barrr's overall badassness And the reference to Free Masons
Go to the show this Saturday, Nov. 21st at Love Garden (new location 822 Mass. St) for more fun.

jason, are you using and demo versions of plugins with garage band or is your version of garage band a demo version itself? most demo/trial audio editing plugins are programmed to have little cut-outs every so often to encourage people to buy the full versions. just a thought.

If only I would have known Christianity was started by a bunch of Shroom heads I would have never given it a shot. Good thing I'm just now hearing about this.
But remember that song I used to sing back in the day "Mushroom Bob"??? It's starting to make TOO much sense....
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, enjoyed the podcast. Keep up the good work.

Nice A.D.D.cast Barrrrrr. Always enjoy a little humor and some tunes with my interview. Definitely some much needed 21st Century reporting. Keep up the good work.

Barrrr, I don't usually comment on lawrence.com but I wanted to take a moment and give you some much deserved props for this podcast. It was funny, insightful and way more entertaining then much of the stuff you'll find on the interwebs. All this awesomeness and you're only a freelancer, kudos to you. Too bad you couldn't get the ever-elusive b. d. eek to come out of hiding for the interview but I think you guys are on to something with your triple Asian man hypothesis.

This speaks to my interests, avoids being self-serving, and has an enviable level of production. #fuckyeah
