The Midwest isn't known for high fashion-maybe for being home to down-to-earth folk who enjoy sunsets and open plains, but not for fashion. Street wear is a segment of the fashion world that has largely been ignored until recently, gaining mainstream attention for brands at the forefront, like ALife, aNYthing, and Leroy Jenkins-brands that now have an outlet in the area at KC's new store Phenom. Miles Bonny sits down with the proprietors of Phenom and local street wear designer Sike to learn more about the culture behind the clothes.
