Trevan and Eric are again joined by Aaron Weber and Alan Rapp from dadsbigplan.com to talk about Christmas offerings from the Coen brothers and Tom Hooper.

Personally I thought the interplay with Bridges, Damon, and Steinfeld were very funny. Also love the execution bits, Chaney's dangerous stupidity, the attempt to sell the ponies back, and some of the interesting characters they meet along the way on this adventure.
Eric and I were talking about that yesterday, actually. For me, I appreciated the writing but wasn't impressed by any particular element aside from Roger Deacon's cinematography.
That's fair enough. I've seen it twice and like almost any Coen brothers flick, it gets better on a repeated viewing. Its fair to say that is like any great filmmaker's work.
And the writing to me is just so good, but I think for anyone based on our expectations of what is a movie from the Coens, this is a puzzling film from them.
