About this place

Inexpensive pizza and quick delivery at all hours (open til 3 a.m. Fri./Sat.) make the Shuttle the student's late-night choice for satisfying the munchies. Though not extravagant, the personal-sized pizzas are available with a wide variety of toppings and do the job when called to duty.

From the folks at the Shuttle :: "Pizza Shuttle has been a Lawrence tradition since 1984. We feel that we offer a premium pizza at a discount price. Our crust is hand-made daily, not imported from a commissary like some national chains. Our sauce has an unique flavor and appeals to clients who prefer something more than just tomato paste. We use fresh veggies and LOCAL suppliers to serve our customers."

Dine-in closes midnight Sundays and 1 a.m. the rest of the week. Delivery hours are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Sundays, delivery runs until 1 a.m.

As a former Shuttle driver, I can tell you that this place rocks so hard, you wouldn't even believe it. The pizza is excellent when fresh, and not so bad when cold, if you're really stoned. The owners treat their employees like family, and get amazing loyalty in return. And make sure to tip your drivers well--aside from tearing up their personal vehicles on the job, they face very real dangers to bring you that hot pie---I had a keg thrown at me from three stories up while I was 8 months pregnant, and more than a few of our drivers have been beaten savagely by asshat muggers.

Also, if you call up at 2:55 AM craving a cream cheese, onion, anchovy, and jalapeno pizza, they don't even snicker at you while they take your order. That's class, right there.

If you just go for the cream cheese pizza alone, it is worth it.

Maybe the best late-night/early-morning, after-drinking, no-loving-but-plenty-of-friends pizza. (It seems to taste okay on just an ordinary afternoon too.) I learned to love it as a grad student--now I'm back for a second round as a law student.

I love this place. Although have never been in the store and have always ordered at home for a delivery its great! The best pizza you can possubley ever taste is the cream cheese pizza, you seriously have to try it. The price is great you only need about ten bucks for a huge meal including drinks

I just can't help it....when you pay cheap you expect cheap...but at Pizza Shuttle you can actually get a pretty decent pizza at a reasonable prices

In my opinion what separates Pizza Shuttle from a bigger chain is the amount of grease used in the baking process. Pizza Shuttle uses considerably less butter in their baking process over a pizza hut/domino style establishment.

Best part of the deal...they are open really late....great for when you are out late and can't find an open restaurant.

Truly a local delight. Good food and fast service. I use to work there, and I must say that the management is the best... and all about a "family" environment for it's workers.

P.S. The delivery guys kick ass!

Cheap in price, not in quality. The pizza totally kicks ass, and the service doesn't suck. Whoot!

The greatest thing about Pizza Shuttle is Value, especially for college students. The toppings are fresh, and the Pizza tastes good, but only when you eat it while it is still hot. Otherwise, the crust sometimes gets too hard to chew.

The service is mostly good, but there are times when the people working there are, should I say, less-than-pleasant to do business with.

In any case, I have been supporting their business a lot during my few years in grad. school, and I am satisfied overall.

Shuttle is the answer when the kids are hungry, you don't want to cook and the weekend is on its way. Shuttle for a family of four is cheap. the pizzas are always right. Always. I've never had a problem. The dough is great, the toppings are fresh and it is just plain great This isn't fancy pizza, but it's good pizza, great service and fast delivery. It's just great.

The Shuttle is an institution in Lawrence. I grew up on the twofers and now I enjoy the cream cheese pizza.
Support the local guys, not the national franchises.

The Shuttle offers the best value in Lawrence. Their menu isn't fancy but the food is great. The "Shuttle" pizzas are loaded with toppings and their delivery times are the quickest.

After reading the last user review I was moved to put in my two-cents about The Shuttle. Pizza Shuttle offers some of the best pizza values to be found in the city of Lawrence. I have shopped around and found cheaper pizza but, it was some of the nastiest stuff I ever tried to eat. The shuttle offers the best pizza in town at the best prices. The service in my experience has always been fast and friendly. I love the atmosphere and cannot see where Mullett found anything to complain about. I highly recommend Pizza Shuttle to anyone who wants to enjoy good food at a good price.

I've heard lately that with cheese prices skyrocketing, that some places are implementing "fake" cheese, fillers, or just plain skimping.
P.S. still is the best value, with a great pizza and lots of toppings. AND REAL CHEESE!

ONLY THING GOOD ABOUT THIS PLACE IS IT CLOSES . PEOPLE WORKING THERE ARE RUDE, THEY ALL LOOK LIKE PIZZA HUT REJECTS IF THERE IS SUCH A THING. HYGENE IS A THING THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF. DEFINETLY AVOID. ONLY GOOD FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO ARE TOO DRUNK TO REALIZE WHAT THEY ARE EATING.
