Good, but not THAT good. If it was cheaper, I'd definitely eat there on a regular basis. However, I can't afford that. The food is healthy and yummy. I'd like to eat it more often if I could.

Atmosphere is dated and cheap, the burgers are pretty good but the price is a bit high and there is a limited menu otherwise. For a buffalo or Elk burger this is the only place to get one, but for a regular place to eat I would go to another local establishment.

Being newly local, I was excited to learn of this "place where all the meat is from around here." Within my first week of residence, I decided to give it a try. The staff was very helpful when it came to making suggestions. I had an elk burger, fries, and a peppermint iced tea .... and everything was outstanding, cooked to perfection. AND ... I actually felt like I was eating something both healthy and delicious, what a concept!

Buy your own organic and local food and cook it yourself.

This place is too much of a hassle and can be quite expensive. I don't like the word "Cleanse" to be on the menu in a restaurant. The water jug is annoying to use. The service format is confusing. Cheese costs 75 cents extra. The food is just okay.

I really wanted to like this place, but I've given it two chances, and it's dissapointed both times.

I like the concept, so maybe I'll go back in five years to see if it's improved (if it's still around).

Love the food, the staff and the owner. Great concept and wonderful selection of quality products. It's great to see someone speading taste of what food should taste like. Besides the food, everything is recycled? Nice....we all need to learn from this establishment!
Thanks Local Burger

This is an interesting concept for a resturant. However, they spent a great deal of time decorating with local art work and neglected to even try to make the food edible. My husband and I went there and both got very ill from the food. We have talked to two other couples that also got ill from eating there. I would stay far, far away from this place - it's horrible.

my major problem was that the food tasted bad. I don't like to pay a lot of money for food that tastes bad, even if it is good for me. If I want something good for me I do not go to "ye ole burger joint" I eat a plate of broccoli.

so everyone seems to make the same complaints about this new all natural burger place. i think one thing that people fail to understand is that generally all restaurants work the same way. food cost is generally %25 of the menu price for food. that is how business works.
local burger is not "making a killing," or ripping you off with their prices, they simply serve higher quality ingredients than most other places in town and higher quality ingredients mean a higher quality product. yes, the extra cost is paid by the customer, but she indeed is reaping the benefits of eating all natural, preservative-free, whole-grain and nutrient-rich foods that will allow her to lead a healthier and happier life.
honestly, restaurants that serve what is commonly known as "american" size portions, are really only contributing to the obesity epidemic. americans are fat because they eat too many large portions of unhealthy food at restaurants that are fooling them into thinking they are getting a good deal. diabetes, heart disease and colon cancer are not good deals! local burger is simply trying to give people the REAL good deal which is healthy food for a healthier and happier life!

I think their concept is very strong, and with a few tweaks, this place has great potential. In fact, I think Lawrence really needed something like Local. The one thing that has kept me from going back are the portions vs. prices. It seemed as if I had spent $9 for an ice cream scoop of tuna salad and a natural soda. I left hungry and ended up getting something else somewhere else. I thought the food itself was great but the portions were definitely an issue. My husband ordered a burger and it was decent sized but came with nothing else at all. For the same price, he could have had a great burger at Freestate with fries, etc. So, my one complaint would be the above. Other than that, the service was great, the atmosphere was well thought out and they have a great selection on the menu.

I was very excited about the idea of this restaurant, and then I ate there.
