David Bazan

with Casiotone for the Painfully Alone / Ghosty

Having officially dissolved Pedro the Lion, songwriter David Bazan returned to his home studio and cut a lovely EP called "Fewer Moving Parts" all by his lonesome. The collection featured "band and acoustic versions of the same five songs, and Bazan promptly hit the road with an acoustic guitar to support it. Now, the bearded singer is back at it with a full band that sounds eerily similar to Pedro-which is fine, because that group's lovelorn 4/4 rock is what endeared him to us in the first place.

It would be nice if Lawrence.com would get their information about a show right for a change. Bazan did not have a band or an acoustic guitar last night and I could have saved $10.
