Explosions in the Sky are a lot like Lawrence's The Appleseed Cast with one major difference: no singer. The Austin band has taken the long road to sorta-fame, releasing four records in six years for the indie Temporary Residence label. The shoegazey quartet's biggest coup was scoring the soundtrack to the 2004 film "Friday Night Lights", presumably the reason the band is headlining the Granada three years after rocking The Replay.

This show says sold out on the Granada's web site, but then someone told me they got tickets yesterday, so you might be in or out of luck if you are hoping to get tickets for tonight...

explosions in the sky is not shoegaze at all. try the becomingly annoying post-rock genre.
