Description: From the promoters: This is a benefit show for Women's Transitional Care Service in Lawrence. Founded in 1976, WTCS was the first battered woman's shelter in Kansas, and now provides over 274 women and children with shelter and services every year.
Donations will be accepted at the door.
Playing the benefit:
The Snuggle Bugs fuse rock and electronica to create a mashup of floor-tom beatings, frenetic screaming and bipolar grooves.
Unicorns in the Snow is a performance artist from Kansas City who can be both stark and hilarious.
Chairman D. and the Tuesday Cult Crew is a forward-thinking hip-hop collective that has the lyrical ability to win battles, and the disposition to explore/mix genres.
Oreaganomics mixes shoegaze and trip hop while taking more musical influence from a circus than a spy film.
