Veteran area groovists Miles Bonny and Organic Proof kick off a series of first-Saturday patio shows at the Replay Lounge. Both entities are driving forces behind the Innatesounds crew, a co-op of area musicians that creates croissant fresh hip-hop buttered up with soul, funk and jazz flavors. In recent months, Bonny has released a free remix album and an instrumental collection titled "Works 2: Bangs Can Wait." Organic Proof, meanwhile, has honed their improvisatory craft in the live setting. The duo of Brandon Draper and John Brewer crafts loopy grooves buoyed by Draper's mastery of worldly percussion devices. Occasionally reminiscent of drum-and-bass or live electronica, the duo's extensive jazz backgrounds also surface in the form of mellow chord changes and wicked intricate beats.
