Falestine Afani Ruzik is a multimedia journalist who produces newscasts, and is a web editor for 49 News.
Although Falestine (her friends call her Fally) is a Kansas native, she spent 11 years living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Living there gave her unique insights into international relations.
Falestine loves all things media and got her first broadcasting gig as a radio disc jockey when she was 17. She graduated from University of Kansas in 2003 with a bachelor’s of science degree in journalism.
Over the years at KTKA, Falestine has taken an interest in all things web, and is now the web editor at the station. She also enjoys promoting the station through social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.
In her spare time, Falestine enjoys riding her scooter, working as a DJ at a local radio station, playing any instrument she can get her hands on and listening to electronic music with her husband Joe.
