The Cheese & Salami Shoppe

I love this place. Best sandwiches in town, my personal favorite being the Cajun Chicken, definitely worth a try, but I always need just a bit more food so get chips too.

Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shop (Downtown)

I like this place because sometimes I feel like getting a pretty simple sandwich and Jimmy Johns offers just that for a modest price, I think just under $4. Or for another dollar or two you can add more fixins.Ha, fixins.Anyway, I don't know about the other locations but the downtown store makes their sandwiches so fast, sometimes I really do freak. On occasion, I'll have my sandwich before I get my change, not to say they are slow to make change.

Lone Steer BBQ

Best BBQ in town, hands down. Even as a die hard Gates fanatic, I must say Lone Steer's brisket is superior. The fries aren't great, but the beans and potato salad are delicious.

The Burrito King

I find myself at Burrito King about 3 times a month, mostly between 2 AM and 3 AM. The food is pretty good, considering I get more than my fill for under $5 in the Small Nachos King. The late-night service used to be great every time but as of a few months ago when a new guy started working the window, I find myself going to Taco Bell instead. On two occasions I could hear this guy making fun of me in Spanish, one of which was while I handed him a tip. Another time he and I would imagine the rest of the late night staff closed 45 minutes early.I'll go back because I'm hooked, but only when the guy with long hair is working.
