What an insipid bunch of whiners. I'd like to take my kids to Free State for dinner without polluting them. I'd like to go out to see bands and SEE them through the haze. I even have a smoke once in a while, and understand the whole jonesing thing, but have wondered how the lungs of my bartender put up with it every day, and whether The Replay's Workers' Comp covers emphysema. What I can't comprehend is how pathetic the opponents to this ban sound- like junkies who believe their own comfort is paramount. You'll be okay. Really. Lawrence night-life won't die. The bars will still go on. You will be able to smoke- just not in an enclosed environment in which others have to put their health on the line to serve you, sit next to you, or even pass you on your way out, as they go into the toxic cloud you left behind. It's not fair, but nothing is, and when you grow up, you'll understand that sometimes you can't have what you want when it's for the greater good. Thanks for your help, Boog- my little girls are better off for it. The rest of you can stop belly-aching and put your tirades toward something that really matters- aren't there more important issues that could use your rants?
