Wristen, I would rather watch replays of the Aloha bowl, or another football game from 10-15 years ago than whatever is on KUJH now. I wouldn't mind seeing some old basketball games from a few years back, even as far back as Larry Browns tenure.
I thought the win was a good win, especially with the publicity. KU's defense was disrespected before the game, so it was good to keep Houstons players in check on the run game. Great win.
Didn't you cover Allens Firing/dismissal/resigning with the Kansan back in 2001? I recall you being apart of the Kansan staff back in my 2001 days.......seems so long ago.
I've never eaten at Wa, but I go to Sushi Station often. I think that KoKoRo may have the best sushi in town. I've ordered the seaweed salad from KoKoRo, but it always seems to be a smaller serving, much smaller, than that of the order I get from Sushi Station.
The Tofu is amazing and the sushi is always good. The service is exceptional, they are overwhelmingly helpful.
Easily the biggest dump in Lawrence. I dont like that place and shudder the day I am there.
It seems every time I go there, i'm surrounded by a bunch of annoying frat boys pretending to be tough guys, or basketball players who are attention starved.....
I get an eery feeling about this place. I dont recommend it.
Sometimes its impossible to tell exactly who your waitress/server is. I've found it much easier to walk up and get what I need myself.....The food is great, I love the atmosphere and the TV's.
I understand most days when its busy they forget, so its not the biggest thing in the world. If you have no beef with going up and asking for what you need instead of being waited on hand and foot....I'd say this may be your place.
I absolutely love this place. From the outside, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the atmosphere is great and the servers are friendly. The sushi is amazing.
Whenever I've gone, they appear to only have one server, so sometimes you have to wait a little to be served, or get your food....However, its worth the wait.
Mr. Gatti's
RIP Gattiland.

KU can't buy this kind of exposure

The Sandbar
easily my favorite Lawrence bar. Its good to be able to go to a bar where you aren't stuck hearing the same nightclub music.
Drink specials are really good and the fish there is totally awesome.

'Lord of War' deals sobering message on gunrunning
saw the movie on Saturday. It was a good movie, although I was expecting more in the end.
Pretty political stuff at the end, about gun trading and who the biggest weapon suppliers are...ironically the 5 nations on the UN security council.
