Food was excellent! Service really lacked. The quality of food really is what you would find in any big city, but the service is totally representative of Lawrence. Not overly attentive, young college students was the norm. Definately worth a trip to Lawrence, but expect the food to be the highlight!
Tasty food, but small portions. I had a chicken caesar salad. it was served in a hot-dog sized styrofoam container, only 1/2 full. Served with a roll, but no butter or knife was provided. Good food, but not quite $6 worth. A little bigger portion would do it, or a dollar or so cheaper.
Leslie, That fire may have been mine... We had a couple trees burning in a small charcoal grill, but they were broken up. had nearly 20 people around. But by the sounds of it, your fire sounds bigger. We were on Beach Head Blvd, right where it turned.
Very tasty... I had the chicken pad thai but for the life of me, I still don't know what else is on top. There's pieces of chicken, and then stuff that looks like ground beef. They swear it is chicken, but looks different. Tastes good, though.
Ozomatli was by far the best show this weekend. The only 10 people with an actual "show" as well as music. Actually, their first set was the best... by their late show, they were a bit, umm, slower, speech a bit more slurred, and what was that he was smoking on the stage? At least everyone got to hang out in the VIP seating area. Still 2 great shows. Also, did anyone catch one or more of Matisyahu's sets? How about that beatboxing? UNBELIEVABLE!
