How I came to live in Lawrence (if applicable): At age 18, having been born and raised in Newton, Kansas any other place to live was a good place to live.
Lawrence won the lottery because where else in the state could you even pretend you were getting an education . . .
Things I miss about Lawrence since moving away (if applicable): When I've moved away from Lawrence, which I have many times, I always felt that I was moving to places where the average IQ had dropped 50 points.
I missed the "Repeal Republicans" posters.
Affiliations: My most important affiliation is with a small planet touchingly, but not too imaginatively, named Earth.
Without Earth other affiliations aren't very important.
Hobbies: Watching the ice caps melt.
Favorite blogs: I've always been attracted to blogs about hog-raising and/or tumbleweeds.
Favorite media: Foot-long chili dogs with mustard.
Favorite Web sites: Any site that includes the word "popsicle."
Favorite music: By default, whatever ends up on my iPod.
Favorite books: "Changes in Old West Lawrence from May of 1901 to January of 1902." (unabridged)
Favorite TV shows: The sequel to "Car 54 Where Are You?" called "Car 54 Oh, There You Are."
Favorite movies: Anything with Carmen Miranda.
Opinion on the South Lawrence Trafficway issue: It should be moved further south to Ottawa. It would then be out of our jurisdiction and we wouldn't have to worry about it.
