Favorite music: Too long, so I'll just mention everything that's been in my car stereo lately: Radiohead, Nil8, Mojo Nixon/Jello Biafra, Les Savy Fav, Talking Heads, Buzzcocks, X, The Evens, NOFX, Queens of the Stone Age, Gang of Four, Sonic Youth, Do Make Say Think, Broken Social Scene, Sleater-Kinney, Ad Astra Per Aspera, and others I can't remember right now.

Favorite books: Again, too many. If it's by Coupland, Vonnegut, Paluhniuk, McCarthy, Adams, Eggers, or Colbert, I probably don't hate it.

Favorite TV shows: Lucy: Daughter of the Devil, The Wire, Kids in the Hall, Dexter, Six Feet Under, Big Love, X-Files, Monty Python's Flying Circus, MST3K, Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks, Dead Like Me, Weeds, Simpsons, Futurama, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Heroes, Brisco County, Jr., The Office, 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Sarah Silverman Program... I watch too much TV.

Favorite movies: This is getting tiring. Off the top of my head: Being John Malkovich, the Fisher King, Brazil, Following, Donnie Darko, My Own Private Idaho, This Is Spinal Tap, Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums, Waiting for Guffman, Evil Dead, anything featuring Weng-Weng.

Opinion on the South Lawrence Trafficway issue: I don't like traffic. Let's not give it a way.

Opinion on West Lawrence: It's that part of Lawrence that's west of the eastern part.

Opinion on the smoking ban: I used to smoke regularly; now I'm off and on. If you smoke and you're not a total asshole, you're used to smoking outside out of consideration for non-smokers. It's just basic etiquette. Whether people should be forced to have some minimum standard of politeness by law, well yes -- there's a slippery-slope argument to be made there, but I don't really care. Bear. Wear.
