I don't believe so. The Bowie was factory produced; The other one may have been. It doesn't have any manufacturer's markings or codes on it, so it's possible. It's definitely more decorative than functional. That's another ironic aspect of the sheriff's dept. keeping it for "20 years of testing". It's not exactly well designed for causing any type of carnage- it's strictly for display purposes.

Great job on the story, Frank. It's about time the other side of the coin was presented to the public. It was great to seem vindication from the kbi, although I'm a bit dubious of Tim Dennis' choice of words: "based on their cooperation...." I'd rather he said "based on the evidence (or at a minimum, lack of evidence). But at this point any vindication is huge leap in progress. And there is the positive aspect that many of the local slackers who've implicated us in the past have also accused us of obstruction and lack of cooperation. That's also been frequently implied by the leavwth. sheriff's dept. in the past. Tim's comments prove otherwise. To see that in print is a huge milestone in this case. Now it's time for the lv. co. sheriff's dept. to come forward and do the same, since they are the ones who concocted the hoax in the first place. But again, thanks for the great work on the story, Frank!
