This is great fun to read.
We must be doing something right to stir up this kind of reaction.
Thanks for all of your superb feedback, we always welcome any kind of feedback postive or negative...however, if you are not a fan of NEON, then we appreciate you giving us a shot but it's obviously not for you. Good luck with you and yours.
But there's over 400 other people who will disagree with what you say so "the show must go on".
We've been hated on and bitten since the beginning but we're still here. It's nothing new. NEON has existed before the hating and it continues to after it. Like I said, we must be doing something right.
Maybe, if Rhimarie and Onehazel would let go, open your minds and dance a little then maybe you might enjoy yourselves.
Or you can continue to be miserable and provoke this Anti-NEON/Pro-Hot Lunch bullshit drama that only exists in you and your friends heads. The choice is yours.
The Hot Lunch guys are good people who have excellent taste in music. As is Rico and DJ Soap and probably most other dj's that have had nights on Thursdays. That gives the people choices and choice is good! We should be thankful that there is more than one place to dance on a Thursday in Lawrence!
NEON is a fucking fun night. Drinks are cheap, ladies 21+ are FREE before 10pm, The Bottleneck staff rules and the dance floor is always packed. We play all kinds of shit that goes back even further than "2-20 years" and we also play all kinds of new stuff. We even play your requests (as long as we have the song). To me, It's the funnest night in Lawrence.
I look forward to DJing @ NEON every week.
