Effort under way to replace 'The Guardians of the Arts' mural downtown

A new mural would be nice, but why should we be limited to repainting the old one. Why not a contest?

You guys are missing the point. There are students that have money, and they obviously know how to spend it, and do. However, there are also a lot of students who barely get buy. those can't afford to shop downtown--they don't and they won't. .

"Better support from university students of downtown local restaurants, coffee shops and businesses in general."

Apparently, Sammy has never been to college and doesn't realize that many college students barely are able to pay tuition and frugal living expenses, which is especially difficult in a down economy. Sorry, young lady but a lot of students simply don't have the coin for an overpriced latte, or a fifty dollar T-shirt.

Theatre Lawrence prepares 'White Christmas'

The article fails to note that Bing Crosby first sang "White Christmas" in the 1942 film musical, "Holiday Inn." The film "White Christmas" was essentially a remake of the earlier film.

Krause Dining prepares Dinner Under The Stars

Atthough I have never met Mr. Krause, over the years I have read several comments alluding to an oversized ego. All of that is irrelevant. I have no idea is he is a little full of himself, and if he is, frankly, I don't give a damn. He and his wife are stepping to the plate in times of need to help the disadvantaged. Good for him. Wish Lawrence had more folks who were willing to donate their time and money to just causes.

And to those who suggest he is only doing this to showcase his cooking skills, I say nonsense. His reputation as a chef precedes him.

Thanks for your efforts, Mr.and Mrs. Krause.

'Sweatpants and workout attire. This is never a good look for anyone, unless you are at the gym.'

She's the third or fourth scoutee who has dissed sweatpants.

I don't give a damn about how others perceive my look. I just wanna be comfortable. So sorry, young lady, but I will not humor you on this one.

The guy is a little too geeky looking to pull off the tough guy motorcycle look of the fifties, imho.
