Local radio station changes format from rock to country

Let me start off by saying that I was a long time listener of X 92.9 the rock. I stumbled upon the radio station awhile back and I was suprised with the good varitey of quality songs they played daily. I'm not at all your typical morning radio show listener but x 92.9's "Free Beer and Hot Wings in the Morning" was a riot and I was hooked after one show. I agree fully with "teecayb" and I also do not understand what VOID needed to be filled? There are at least 3 stations in many cities around Kansas that play their share of country. Lawrence's radio network just lost one of the greatest radio stations its ever had, to yet another super plain replacement country station. I don't want to hear about their balanced demographic talk or their lame biased surveys, look at the poll lawrence.com is doing, last time I checked an overwhelming majority prefer rock OVER anything else.
