Talk explores what Lawrence can learn from creative placemaking efforts to the west

Brad was an awesome Art Professor and an excellent mentor to me while attending KWU. I look forward to hearing him speak. There is a lot to learn from him!

Big impact, big stage: KU Wind Ensemble to perform world premiere of weighty work at Carnegie Hall

Just because WSU went there before, doesn't make it any less important to those involved at KU's trip to Carnegie. No one claimed it was inclusive only to KU.

Lawrence Libations: Schooners at Louiseā€™s Bar downtown

mikekt: What is your point then? That the newspaper or this website shouldn't include articles on alcoholic drinks? You seem bitter over something, but I cannot quite figure out what through your mumbled comments. Drunk driving is idiotic, life-threatening, ridiculous, but I still like drinking. I choose to walk or have a designated driver.....so what is the point of your rant?

According to your past comments, you didn't much like the last reporter's choices. Seems someone is hard to please. Your negative comments are not needed. How about you post what you think is stylish on here so the rest of us can treat you with the same respect you have shown other scouts?

Special-needs pets become special to owners

$110 for insulin seems pretty high. I have a diabetic dog. I think his kind of insulin is H, but not 100% sure without checking. We get his insulin from Walmart and it amounts to about $28 for a month's worth. You don't need a prescription either to have it filled. The Walmart on 6th & Wakarusa are much more accommodating then the other one. My dog is also blind due to the diabetes, but he manages pretty well on getting around.

I also adopted a three-legged cat that my husband nicknamed "Twinkle Toes." She's a tiny little thing with a big attitude and has no idea she's different.

Someone8, midwest muser, and Pepe....your opinion of what is stylish will never be the same for other people. Normal looking people are not usually very interesting, so why would they be featured in Style Scout? The title of the column is Style, not Pepe's style, or muser's or whomever. Style is very subjective and personal. Your negative comments are useless and really not needed. What is it about her that you do not like? And, more importantly, why should we care?

I think she looks very stylish and unique. I can see the Anthropologie influence and I too love that store!

(By the way Nash and Pepe, how about post photos of yourselves in what you believe are stylish clothes so we can pick you apart needlessly.)
