Dempsey's Burger Pub

We went to Dempsey's tonight for dinner. We found out that Robert Krause is making the burgers there, well, one of their chefs Simon made them. Our burgers were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO delicious! I had the Falafel burger and my husband had the chili burger. I cannot even begin to describe how amazing they were. We also order the truffle fries. We will definitely be going back very soon. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Jo Shmo's

The burgers are good, nothing special. The staff is kind of odd, but nice. I would go back again I guess.

Wheatfields Bakery

I LOVE Wheatfield's so much. I think the bread is fantastic and the sandwiches equally delicious. My only comment, or maybe question is; Why is the staff rude? There is only one guy there that is ALWAYS consistantly pleasant (he has dark hair and dark glasses). I am always pleasant to the staff and they always seem put off or mad about something and rarely crack a smile...what happened? Can anyone explain this?

Tortas Jalisco

Actually bodacious_b, the food at Tortas Jalisco is fairly accurate and typical of what you would find in Mexico. Their tamales are delicious and so are their tortas. Many places in Mexico do not serve chips and salsa (typically only in resort/beach towns) but I have to say that they are quite tasty. It is a shame they do not get that much business but it could be because of its location, I don't know. I have spent the majority of my life in Mexico and very familiar with Mexican food. I do agree that many Americans do not have a cocept of typical Mexican food but I would recommend eating at Tortas Jalisco and giving it a try. The staff is really nice and I think they do a good job with making the food authentic considering it is in the middle of Kansas and some of the ingredients may be harder to find.

Pachamama's

Overpriced for what you get. However, the bartenders are really fantastic and worth the trip. Clint and Katie are awesome.

New Hampshire St. Bistro

Now, I think that the food at New Hampshire Bistro is really good. However, I think the staff is really odd and slow. We have been several times and always get an eerie feeling from the staff. The decor and ambiance at NHB is really bare and odd feeling. If you just focus on the food, you will have a wonderful time but if you think about the staff and everything that goes along with it you might go a little crazy.
I would recommend dining there because the food is so amazing, just don't pay attention to the staff.

Ingredient

We have been to Ingredient several times and we have loved it every single time. The service is great and the staff is incredibly accommodating. The food is great and I think the prices are very reasonable. I have heard many people complain about the prices but honestly, they are really reasonable for what you get. You can get a smaller salad for instance at Aladdin cafe for the same amount of money, at Ingredient you get over 50% more food. I think people have an issue with the price of food because it is a nice place and I think some people may get intimidated by that. Anyway, I think Ingredient will do very well because of the quality of food and service is incredible.
