Just catching up on Lawrence.com and am heartbroken to read this. There's a lot of fucked up shit in this world, but nothing gets me like the death of a child. I cannot even begin to comprehend what her parents are going through (and selfishly hope I never have to). I'm not going to sit here and preach that God has a plan and all is well in the world. It just doesn't make sense! But, even though he angers me sometimes, I do believe in God and will pray/am praying for Chloe's family.

How did Penny take the news? It's so difficult for the youngin's to grasp the concept and finality of death.

Anyway, *hugs* to you. Your friend is going to need tons of support in the coming months and she's blessed to have you as a close friend.

Oh no! Honestly, I haven't been there much in recent years, but it's been the only place in the area that I can get NY style pizza when the craving hits. Though, the last time I had it, I didn't think it was nearly as special...

Good link, feeble. The owner seems like a piece of work!

Reminds me (a bit) of when I did a stint as a Summer school para for special needs preschoolers. There were these identical twins - 4 or 5 years old - who the teacher genuinely believed would be diagnosed as sociopaths (if not pyschopaths) someday. I only had to deal with one of the boys - they were split up in different classes. The teacher said the parents of the boys had two other kids who were completely normal.

I got chills when this kid was playing nice one day, only to randomly say to me: "I'm going to kill you." My only fear being that someday the little shit was going to hunt me down when he was older and bigger (ok - I didn't really fear that, but it was eerie). He had a peculiar look in his eyes.

He hit me once too...didn't hurt at all, but was friggin' annoying. You had to watch him like a hawk around the other kids who had physical and or mental developmental problems.

But, the creepiest may have been when he was smashing bugs outside and I stopped him. He threw a major tantrum because he was enjoying himself so much. Fun times...

Yeah, keep your girl away from that kid. If confronted by the neighbors, be honest...just don't be too "brutal" when you're talking about their pride and joy!

In other words, the shit that I normally see of him, pisses me off on sooooo many levels...

But THIS - is GOLD! Not only does he have warped views of the world, but he has the temper to "ugly him up" even more, imo.

Ha - no, I worded that incorrectly! I knew he was an asshat, but this just backed it up that he's even MORE of an asshat than I had gathered from the political filth he spews on the Factor!

I'm a bit sad that I didn't go. The hubby hates them, while I think they're a decent band. I'm not a hardcore fan though, so I didn't spring for a ticket. Regrets? A little bit! Though, the Bud woulda down right pissed me off! WHY???

My sister and her boyfriend are Wilco fanatics, though (their newest little one is named Julian Wilco). I haven't talked with her today, but she took her two oldest boys - not the namesake - to their first Wilco concert. I'm sure they had a blast!

I always knew O'Reilly was an asshat! Funny shit.

I once saw him with his trophy wife at a Broadway show. He was sat down the row from me. Needless to say, I didn't hound him for an autograph.

Oh - I hate you, April!!! I could've done without seeing those damn TruckNutz. Somehow, I have missed out on this whole craze. I heard the term on tv the other night and my hubby told me to look it up, then I forgot all about it. Yeah...I was better off not knowing.

Oh, it's all good. Sometimes it's *easier* to protect the youth! A little white lie never hurts now and then.

You're a brave gal. While bunnies are cute and cuddly, I'm terrified to handle any sort of wild life...I get a serious case of the creepy crawlies. Thank goodness I haven't seen any woodchucks in my backyard this year...or raccoons for that matter. Ugh. Marcy doesn't do well with the wildlife that seems to frequent her back and front yard...

Dots - I pray for you every single day, dear. :P

Well written as usual, Misty. You definitely think outside of the mainstream public opinion (that's a compliment, btw) and I can't argue any of your points. I certainly appreciate you writing this - it gave me something to think about...and that's never a bad thing!
