There's WHAT In My Bed?

A+ parenting! my daughter (hbomb) sleeps with one of our dogs (ivy) and i usually say to ivy, "don't let hbomb bite you, okay ivy?" ;)

Lawrence's Identity Crisis

weezy got it right: "If another grocery store is destined to pop up, it should happen in North Lawrence, where it's actually needed."

and yeah.. that would be catering to MY needs.

Snow

very nice joel. i love the morning after a fresh snow.

as opposed to what can be days (or weeks!) after, with the piles of gray and brownish residues. the sand and salted remnants of what was pristine snow are sad reminders of it's former self. 6 feet tall in the dillon's parking lot.

i love the snow but i'm tired of winter. i need longer days and warm weather so i can enjoy my daily ride. and i'm exhausted by what seems like interminable cold and flu symptoms.

but yeah, the blanket of snow is a wonderful sight ;)

My nephew, the robot

my stock phrase to people without kids:

kids are the most amazing experience you'll ever have and the biggest pain in the ass all in one.

and we haven't even made it to the teenage years..

Love of my life

"Every man who has ever been loved by a good woman, I suspect, knows he is unworthy.

Thankfully, they keep on loving us."

Congratulations Joel and soon-to-be wife! Heartfelt best wishes for you both.

OK. Now I'll start wearing a helmet

joel.. bike riding is my racket, blog something else ;)

glad you're okay. i too took a nasty spill recently and ended up in the ER with lotsa stitches on my elbow. i started wearing my helmet all the time after i started commuting. the more you bike the more chances you have to crash. and, i need to set a good example for my kids.

i don't have any cracked helmets like cfdxpert but i now have a spot of blood on my frame that i taped over as a reminder of how cool i am.
