Wakarusa Music & Camping Festival 2005 -- 06/17/05 at Clinton State Park

Totally agree with local_support... I only went to one day of Wak fest last year, and had a blast... I had never heard of half the groups I saw, but they were still awesome, and the crowd was cool too... very friendly and polite, everyone there to have a good time. Plus the beer sponsor is New Belgium, makers of my beloved Sunshine Wheat beer... while most outdoor concerts jack the price of bevs up, they were selling their 20 oz draws for $3, less than most bars in town charge. I bought my tix early this year, for the $69 price, and I can't wait to do the whole weekend-thing this year!

Life, liberty and a smoke

While I don't really smoke that much, maybe a few a night when I'm drinking, I still get tired of the second hand smoke in bars some nights. HOWEVER, that is an inconvenience I am willing to deal with when I go out. The problem I see arising from this ban is not that patronage will drop at bars in town, but the problem of bars unequipped with patios for outdoor smoking purposes. Can you imagine what a zoo it will turn into at these places? I'm talking, for example, Red Lyon, Brothers, Last Call, to name a few... they frequently get lines outside after 11:30 or so... trying to keep track of who is squeezing past the door guy to come in from a smoke break and who has been standing there for 20 minutes to get in... that just can't lead to any good! Sorry if I'm rambling, but hopefully y'all can see my point.
