A short essay on why I am or am not a hipster: The word HIP originated during Prohibition to describe a person who wore a hidden flask on their HIP.
In this definition of the word, I am and have been a HIPSTER since I was a juvenile delinquent.
Don't mind if I RECLAIM the TRUE hipster status for me and mine while pointing out that I have nothing to do with the identified hipsters of today.
