The service was great. They were quick to refill drinks. The menu was large with lots of options. Unfortunately, they do not serve horchata or Jarritos soda. The chips and salsa are both good and they seem like they are made in house. We started with the chorizo quesadilla which was not greasy and had a wonderful cheese inside. We also had the chilaquiles which were as close to authentic as you can get in Lawrence. We also had chiles rellenos which were ok. Their rice is good, but the refried beans are forgettable. We will definitely go back.
Hey guys how about a menu? Or at least a sample so I can get an idea of the price point of this place? I don't understand why so many local restaurants don't have more of an online presence. It's a must these days - I won't go into a place unless I know what I'm getting into.
The custard has no flavor, and it was almost twice the price of Dairy Queen. I got a cookie sandwich once and almost broke a tooth. I think they were in deep freeze for months.
It says on their website that you can purchase italian meats and cheeses from them. However, when I went to buy some, the staff looked at me like I was the first person to ever ask. They didn't have any of the cheeses I went to buy either. If you are going there to eat it is a different story. There is a great variety of sandwiches for lunch and the dinner menu looks good, as well, although I have never been at dinner time. I really like the roast beef and corned beef sandwiches.
The cream cheese donuts are fantastic! They also have very good cinnamon rolls and pudding balls. They are open 24 hours a day, which is rare for this town.
I ate here three times before I decided it was not worth ever going back. The enchiladas were flavorless, the chimichangas were pathetically small, and there are so many tables packed in that you are practically on top of the people next to you. The service is sulky and disinterested.
Definitely the best chinese buffet in Lawrence. Good eggrolls, however, inconsistent. The walnut shrimp, japanese chicken, and roast pork fried rice are some of our favorites.

Henry T's Bar & Grill
The buttermilk garlic chicken sandwich is amazing. The wings are probably the best in town!

The Bar
The burgers were good for the price. The day I went they had 50 cent draws. Can't beat that.
