I often enjoy films that disappear quickly more than those that stick around, like cholesterol clogging the arteries (Hey Tyler Perry! Get out of my bloodstream!). I've seen just 4 of these 10 and that fact will send me to the video store for sure. The New World's long stretches with little dialogue highlighted the stunning cinematography (Emmanuel Lubezki, who did "Children of Men" in 2006). While I cannot comment on The Lookout, I often recommend another Joseph Gordon-Levitt film, "Brick" (2005). A modern film noir, it's set in a high school with Gordon-Levitt starring as a detective that reminded me of Nicholson's J.J. Gittes in "Chinatown". If that last sentence made you scoff, then I particularly recommend it.
