Lawrence couple create home for poetry in tree at their home

First, Dr Douglas is a psychiatrist (MD specializing in mental health who can prescribe meds), not a psychologist...not interchangeable terms. I know it's not central to the point of the article, but the general public has great difficulty with differentiating the roles of various mental health providers and journalists should not add to the confusion.
Second, it took me until the middle of the article to understand this is a place for the tree owner to POST poetry (I think), rather than collect submissions or whatever.
Otherwise, cute human interest story (since it's national poetry month) if the journalist can get the facts straight and summarize main points in the first paragraph, as is good journalistic (or writing or public speaking) practice: tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them, tell them what you've told them.

One man's trash: Artist’s project highlights unusual gift economy in downtown alley

people on my street just put things out on the street and watch them disappear; I usually try to do it after the trash pickup, so they won't just get trashed, but generally things go away within the day...clothes, dishes, furniture, books, jewelry, gardening stuff, books...

Lawrence Laundry: Psychologist has fun with clothes

Yay, Julie and Sharon, you rock, both professionally and avocationally...I agree that clothes and accessories, as well as makeup and haircolor should be treated playfully as costume...my people are always wondering what kind of scarf , sox, shoes, or jewelry I will be sporting!

A family heirloom on four wheels

Yay, SO happy to see this car reincarnated with more generations of Millers; I used to sing with Lee in the Heartland Sufi Choir and Shelley was my BF (as she was to about a million Lawrencians, Washingtonians, etc! But will there be firecrackers and cherry vodka involved is the real question?!
