Special Spencer exhibit depicts color, texture of Turkey

I love turkey with all the trimmings: mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and green bean casserole!

Free State Brewing Company

The food sucked ass this past Friday night; our burgers and sandwiches were cold, as were the fries. The cheddar ale soup was awesome, but the ciabatta and home-made crackers were both stale. The food and service keeps going downhill.

Ole Tapas Bar

The spicy potatoes with the brava sauce were outstanding, but the chicken breast was lame. The cold plate with the eggplant mashup was fine, except they give you two cups of eggplant but only eight crostini to eat it with. We had to keep asking for more crostini, which was a drag. I ordered a bottled beer, and it arrived without a glass. After getting a glass, the empty beer bottle sat on the edge of our table for 30 minutes.

If you want tapas, save your time and money and drive up to La Bodega in KC.

La Familia Cafe (Downtown)

No chicken last night. This was at 5:45, and I think they open at 11:30, so it would seem that the lunchtime cooks would realize that there was not enough chicken for the day, and they could either order more chicken, or at least go to Dillons and buy just enough to get them through the evening.

However, the waitress had a very nice nose ring and eyebrow piercing, and they complemented her tattoos nicely.

This once excellent resturant has been slipping for some time, and it's showing. If you want Tex-Mex, I hate to say it, but On The Border does a better job.
