FORT HANCOCK, TX -- US Border Patrol officers today picked up a delusional man who claimed a "voice in his ear" told him to try to cross into the United States. "We asked him if he had any documentation on him, and he just started screaming, 'Karl! Karl! Where'd you go?'", said one Border Patrol officer who was at the scene. "We asked what he was doing out there on the border, and he said that 'Karl's voice in my ear told me to come out here for a photo op'. When we asked him to lie down and place his hands on his head, he refused and started screaming the national anthem at the top of his lungs. Eventually we had no choice but to taser him."The man, who remains unidentified, was taken into custody and is undergoing psychiatric evaluation while awaiting a deportation hearing.
Shades of Dukakis
