KU student wins national contest for unique book collection

Congratulations! Have you important material about how Brazil treated its slaves? I noticed that during the world cup, no one was talking about this horrible side of Brazilian history.

If so, why don't you share a series of articles with us about the different countries of South America, and how each one had a very different approach (Argentina vs Brazil, for example)? We need to find out these things, and South America has always been forgotten in these areas (perhaps in all areas).

Kansas City Connection: Venues have World Cup covered

It's time to change KU's Memorial Stadium into a world class soccer stadium, since more and more kids are playing soccer, and they don't have nearly the amount of concussions that football players have.

I'm just curious - how much would it cost?

John Waters to join Lawrence in celebrating William Burroughs' 100th birthday

I agree with Clark Coan about the value of Burroughs work.

But John Waters films are a totally different story. I have always especially liked "Hairspray" and "Pecker" and I have seen both of them many times.

North Lawrence's first coffee shop in years now open

Where are the comments? On the front page, it says 3 comments. But here, there are no comments, including mine. What is happening? Does this happen with other stories, as well?

Lawrence musicians collaborate on free Christmas album

This is a great idea. You should also have them on u-tube, with each musician's names, and it is from Lawrence!

By the way, take a look at my latest blog, Nelson Mandela - A Musical Tribute

It would be great if some of you did one or more songs for Mandela. They could go on the blog and also be streamlined on the web!

There are people in Africa who see the web and this music, as well as in this country.

Why don't you do a DVD of this? I know I'd like to buy one.
