The Turnpike Music Showcase

Great show all around. Will definitely be checking out those opening bands more often. It's always a shame to me that appleseed cast doesn't sell out every show right away. But that's life I guess.

One Man's 'Nightmares'

I think it's just that, generally speaking, the female body is pretty to look at, while the male body isn't. Both sexes generally understand that. But either way, they were both fully exposed when I saw it last night.

Tom Friedman is my new hero...

Well, I knew he was a brilliant pundit. Who would have known that he was an accomplished artist as well?

Marla Ruzicka, RIP.

Well, as for helping civilians, our military does an enormous amount to help the Iraqis on a daily basis. Their good deeds, like Marla Ruzicka's, go unnoticed and unsung. And while the Pentagon states that they do not track the number of civilians killed during wartime, soldiers are required to report such events to their superiors each time they happen. In fact, that is where Ruzicka recieved much of her info on civilian deaths, from the military.

As for the rest of your argument, I can buy it. Awarding Medals of Honor to failures like George Tenet is indeed a travesty. I, too, would love to see Ruzicka honored in some way posthumously, but it won't happen, at least not from the government.

Marla Ruzicka, RIP.

I was hoping that there would be no moronic comments bringing politics into this tragedy, but I guess that was too much to ask. "What? A brave aid-worker was killed in Iraq by some thugs? Fuck Bush!"

I say, fuck the heartless cowards who blew her up.

We need more people like Marla Ruzicka in the world. It's making me sick just thinking about her death at the hands of people who represent the horrible, evil antithesis of all that is right with humanity.
