Sure, it is a little expensive and the place can be loud--but the food is wonderful. I love the Cesar salad (although I do wish it came with anchovies) and the pizza is good too. The salads taste fresh and delicious.

Z's Downtown Espresso

This is my favorite coffee place in town. The coffee is really excellent and they have large tables where you can study. The baristas are meticulous and well trained. I just love it.

Penny Annie's Sweet Shoppe

When I went in the other day, one of the workers was obviously having a bad day. She had blondish hair in a ponytail. She seemed angry at me and life in general. I don't know what the problem was, but I won't be going back. I can't remember the last time a sales clerk was so rude for no apparent reason. Take your money to Au Marche-where your candy won't come with attitude.

Great Harvest Bread Co.

The customer service and bread are an unbeatable combo. You can tell that the owners and employees are doing what they love. Check out the raisin walnut bread!

Liberty Hall with Marc Cohn - CANCELED

Almost two years ago I won tickets to the concert listed above from Lawrence.com. It was so cool; I had never won a contest in my life. Then, the unthinkable happened. Someone shot Marc Cohn and the show was canceled. They promised that I'd get free tickets to another show - but they never came. Never!

Please make my summer and give me Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs tickets. They are 1000 times more exciting and it will make the two year wait worthwhile - not to mention giving me one great story to tell my pals.

Thanks. -Maureen
