There's a lot of things to do in Lawrence, you just have to look hard enough. My favorite thing to do in Lawrence is to just enjoy what kind of city it is. It's not too small, it's not too big, You can easily get away from people by going into western Kansas and you can get as near to them as you want with a place like KC. Lawrence has a great balance of everything. I really do consider it a priviledge to have been born, raised and to continually live in Lawrence.

It's interesting to wonder if people go into the restroom knowing what they will write if anything at all or if they create their prose on the spot and what compells them to write what they write.

All the winners had a crowd score of a 100. Maybe that tells you something. Popularity contest or not a real judgement of talent. Who knows?

Yes, all are valid points. Maria Full of Grace is a good choice. I would try and add one movie to this category and that would be Mystic River. It's definitely a depressing slice-of-life movie that can only be watched once.

I believe Lucas can still be marveled at due to the very invention of Star Wars. He has surprisingly drawn out one the most famous franchises in American history for 30 years and probably will continue to do so. The original three are no doubt the best set of movies I have ever watched and they will always be my favorites. The last three definitely underachieved, but nonetheless I still think they are valid attempts of movies. The last movie (Episode III) somewhat salvaged the series of prequels. Lucas has only done what he believes to be in the best interest of his Star Wars enterprise. However, I consider him a total goof at the same time. I would have always appreciated it if Lucas would have written Star Wars with a greater attention to realistic human behavior in his script writing and acting directions, and if he would have made the film a little on the darker side with a little more edge. Of couse, it would have probably lost its mass appeal, but I believe the movies would exponentially greater overall. Yet, nothing compares to the massive marketability and universe Lucas has created and the great moments he created with the original trilogy. That is why Star Wars is and will be recognized as one of the best films of all time.
