Favorite music: The type that is either soothing to listen to, or has words I like (assuming I can hear and understand them!)
Favorite books: An American Story (Debra Dickerson), To Kill a Mockingbird, and most mysteries.
Favorite TV shows: Dexter, Rome, Discovery, TLC, Food TV.....
Favorite movies: Malcolm X, Ray, Shawshank Redemption, Color Purple, and almost anything by Pixar.
Opinion on the South Lawrence Trafficway issue: Why pay more $ to make it easier for Topeka and KC residents to by-pass our town? Let them stop and purchase things!
Opinion on West Lawrence: It's not located in the west any more... I love historic homes and buildings, but owning one and keeping it livable is simply cost prohibitive!
Opinion on the smoking ban: Cough cough cough. I say let people die if and how they want. Now that it's been around awhile, I must admit to loving it...as much as I hate governmental big-brother telling people (including businesses) how to do things. It's wonderful to go out for a night of music and not come home smelling like an old ash tray and worried about all the cancer causing chemicals I just inhaled....
A short essay on why I am or am not a hipster: I don't wear enough black.
Archetype / Fourth of July (late show) :: Besides the obvious novelty of Fourth of July performing on the Fourth of July, tonight's twin-bill doubleheader offers a chance to celebrate our nation's birth with two Lawrence bands whose colors don't run ... More info
