RESTAURANT IS GOOD . FOOD IS AVERAGE OR BELOW . ITS PRICY FOR WHAT YOU GET . I HAVE BEEN THERE A FEW TIMES AND BEING THE ONLY ITALIAN PLACE IN LAWRENCE HOPE THE FOOD HAS IMPROVED BUT AM SADLY DISSAPOINTED EVERYTIME....NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
GO THERE MOST WEEK NIGHTS AND TELL THE DRIVE THRU PERSON YOU WOULD LIKE THE SPECIAL. IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT GUYS(they look unshaven , desperate and shady )THEY WILL GIVE YOU WHAT EVER YOU WANT FROM THE MENU IF YOU SHOW THEM YOUR BREASTS. THIS APPARENTLY IS NOT A TACO BELL CORPORATE SPECIAL BUT IS SOMETHING VERY COMMON AND ACCEPTED HERE. I WAS WITH MY GIRLFRIEND AND HER 6 YEAR OLD AND WENT THRU THE DRIVE THRU ON A FRIDAY EVENING. SHE WAS DRIVING AND THE DRIVE THRU GUY DID NOT SEE ME AND TRIED TO SOLICIT HER TO TAKE HER SHIRT OFF FOR SOME CHALUPAS. WHEN HE SAW ME AND SAW HOW ENRAGED I WAS HE STARTED TO BACKTRACK. I CONTACTED THEIR 800 NUMBER AND DID NOT RECEIVE ANY RESOLUTION. AFTER SPEAKING TO OTHER PEOPLE OVER A PERIOD OF 4 MONTHS FOUND OUT THIS IS A COMMON PRACTICE HERE AND IS VERY FAMOUS WITH THE BAR CROWD. I WONDER WHAT OTHER SPECIALS THEY HAVE. WOULD YOU TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR HEALTH AND FOOD ?????
ONLY THING GOOD ABOUT THIS PLACE IS IT CLOSES . PEOPLE WORKING THERE ARE RUDE, THEY ALL LOOK LIKE PIZZA HUT REJECTS IF THERE IS SUCH A THING. HYGENE IS A THING THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF. DEFINETLY AVOID. ONLY GOOD FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO ARE TOO DRUNK TO REALIZE WHAT THEY ARE EATING.
Note to self - never never never never never never never again go to Applebees.
A lizard head was found May 2 in a Santa Fe Chicken Salad prepared at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar.
A complaint was filed with the health department by John Hellstein after his wife discovered the lizard head in a salad she ordered for lunch.
"Obviously, she was upset," said Hellstein, a University of Iowa professor of dentistry. "I don't expect she will be eating Santa Fe salads anytime soon."
On the plus side, it did test negative for salmonella.
