I don't know what that post is about, because the food is great. I have no problem paying $6 for a burger meal that is as good as (if not better than) Applebee's or Chili's. The blackened chicken is my favorite sandwich, try it.
Best Indian food I've ever eaten. Period. And I've had quite a bit. The Buffet is good, but to really enjoy the place, you need to order different menus items. The Lamb Vindaloo is my favorite dish albeit a little too spicy for even me to eat without a beer. The mixed grille is great and anyone that eats at India Palace without getting some fresh flat bread is missing out.
I lived quite nearby when Scarlet Orchid opened. It's a little pricey, but the quality is truly unmatched here in Lawrence. The coconut shrimp are amazing, chef ling's chicken is my favorite, curry chicken is quite good, the salmon rolls are great. Simply amazing food. And on top of all that, the service is fantastic. For a while last year, I ended up going there about one every month and got on a first name basis witht he owner. Nice guy, great place to eat.

India Palace
