Has there been any word on whether or not Junior Brown will be playing at the reunion show?

Southern Cuisine

Awesome food, mediocre service(hey, what do you expect,Miss Nancy has a hand in this)--this is the best home cooking in Lawrence, right up there with Vermont St. BBQ. Chef Terry has resumed his rightful place as the Down Home Iron Chef of Lawrence. The catfish and fried chicken are fantastic, as is the pulled pork, meatloaf, okra, mashed potatoes...
If only they had breakfast; in case you never at at Drake's back in the day,
Chef Terry makes the best home fries in the known universe and his pancakes ain't too shabby.

Professional Resaurant Review

The Woolworth store was where Kinko's etc. is now; the Blue Heron was Raney Drug. The Woolworths did have a great lunch and breakfast counter (3.99 full breakfast) as well as fantastic shakes. The service was pretty lackadaisy but in an amusing way (unlike Hays; last time we ate there the waitress was coughing up a lung over our food as she brought it out).
But what's important is Southern Cuisine, Chef Albert Terry's new joint. It's next to the Orient and if you like downhome cooking, get off the damn computer and start heading down there now.

Blowing Crap Up For Freedom!

Yeah, what in the cornbread hell was the point of this story (a superlame exercise in "gonzo" journalism?)? Newsflash: this part of the country is full of rednecks with guns; we'll tell you who they are at 10:00.

Kansas atheist "Maggot Punks" fight the right

I'm not what you would call a "fundie" but I will tell you this: I just recently saw the first sonogram of the baby my wife is carrying, and, at 14 weeks, that little fellow was practically dancing. We could literally see his heart beating.Call it whatever you want to make yourself feel better, but I doubt you could bear to watch a sonogram of a 14 week old baby being killed. If you could, you scare me.
