'Fever Pitch' nearly strikes out, instead flying out with a half-hearted swing

Its Yankees toilet paper, not Red Sox!

Review: Gran Turismo 4 - PS2

Speedster....GT4 may not be perfect. In fact, I agree with you that the cars should spin out more. They've taken away some of the driving difficulty from GT3, but that doesn't mean its still not a simulation. Its incredibly hard to make an in-depth, realistic racing game, maybe harder then any other genre. GT4 is not perfect, but it is absolutely far and away the best racing game available for console systems. Not all of us have the money to have $2000 computers that we can update every 6 months with better hardware to keep up with the demands of PC games. I gave up on that long ago, PC gaming is just too dang expensive for me.

KU Needs To Get Real About Goalposts

To the author:
I would love to know the method you'd propose for security to stop 10,000 people from storming the field, rather then just sit and watch. Its impossible and laughable that you suggested it. You could try higher fences, but then you end up like the University of Wisconsin did in 1994. They beat Michigan and the students stormed the field. Their fences were around 6-8 feet high and dozens of people ended up in the hospital because they fell and got trapped between a fence and a mass of people. Short of tear gassing the crowd, there isn't much you can do when 10,000 people decide to go somewhere.

What makes you actually BUY a cd?

I buy an album after I've heard at least 3 songs that I liked off of it. At that point, its worth it. Otherwise, I buy the single songs off of napster.

Rudy's Pizzeria

A place that just says "college town" to me; the ambiance, the employees, and the location all make me think of a great college pizza place. the taste, however, makes me think of my favorite pizza in the whole city..rudy's is great

The Next Generation consoles

I think Sony and Microsoft will continue to fight it out, with Nintendo becoming a bit player. I'm not worried about the PS3 not being as powerful as the 2nd XBox; the only reason it isn't as powerful now is because of how much earlier it came out. A year or so is a huge time span in this industry, the next gen Sony console will be just as powerful as the next XBox. Its going to come down to software, just like it does now. If Sony can hold on to its 3rd party licenses (especially Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy) it'll be alright. If they can continue to offer free online play, especially with the major games like Madden, they will have an advantage there too. One other thing against Microsoft, I can see them making the XBox too much of an "all in one, run your life" device. They seem to be doing that with everything, best example being Windows Media Player 9. The damn thing tries to predict your every thought and ends up driving you to WinAmp no matter its limitations. The point is, I can see Microsoft trying to integrate too many things into the next console, making it too much of a pain to use and alienating the true gamers. Much like the NGage, nice idea, too damn complicated of a device.

Overrated #8-#3

Damn...you guys are crazy :) Final Fantasy VII is my favorite video game ever made, closely followed by FFIX and GT3.

EA - From Madden to Third Party Mecca

Everything or Nothing will actually be EA's 3rd Bond game, they made "Agent Under Fire" two years ago and "Nightfire" last year.
