Hey, Weedy! I think they run out of the berries early. I usually get there about halfway through the pickup and sometimes they're out of items already.
Here's my guestimate for the Honey Mustard Dressing based on the bottle ratios: 1 cup honey, 2/3 cup vegetable oil or olive oil, 1/4 cup lemon juice or vinegar, 4 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper and 1/4 teaspoon onion powder. Shake it up in a mason jar or whisk it all together in a bowl. Ta-da!
Dear Sarah,
You asked for places in Lawrence with good vegetarian options in the paper this morning. Believe me, if someone had taken Andrew Rosenthal to Aladdin's while he was here, he'd never have gone back to New York. Their vegetarian options are fantastic. Try the cauliflower, grilled, then placed on pita with yogurt sauce. And their spinach in phyllo. And their halum cheese. Aladdin is the most underrated restaurant in town.
By the way, I don't write letters like this very often. But you really need to hit Aladdin and write about it. You're welcome!
