Save & Splurge: Sara Langford

Wow that is one cold, ruthless bitch. You've gotta be pretty desperate to fake cancer. Then again, I've trained my children to pick pockets on Mass Street, so I guess we all make choices...

Movin' On Up . . .

Oh yeah, Kane and the molested dead chick, Katie Vick! That had to be some of the awesomest wrestling writing ever. Like when Triple H showed "Kane" doing it to her in her own coffin. Classic. Maybe you could bring back Gordon Solie's corpse and put him in a plotline.

Movin' On Up . . .

I thought about writing for that IWC this year but when they called to talk to me I told them I had decided I wasn't interested. You know, kids and all. When you're a writer do you still have to tour?

Koko and Mr. Rogers

My favorite piece of Mr. Rogers-related media is here: http://www.thisamericanlife.org/Radio...
From This American Life, it's a story about Found Magazine's Davey Rothbart and his relationship with Mr. Rogers. It's great.

Some Depression

I have simple pleasures, one of them being music magazines like Skyscraper and my favorite, The Big Takeover. In recent years its gotten harder with labels spending more of their ad budgets online. Also major distribution companies have gone out of business, leaving the magazines owed thousands of dollars. One of these happened a year or so ago, making Copper Press and Punk Planet almost go under. I'm a little worried The Big Takeover might be next because it's probably the largest, page-wise. A little bit of me died when they started running cigarette ads last year.

Calling my Neighbors' Kids

April, have you ever pulled out someone's eyeball in a fight, like the snowpeople depicted above?
