Chris- You're right, but to be fair this idea has been surfing the collective semi-unconscious of 9th & New Hampshire ever since that wall presented itself.
I've heard a rumor that Mick Ranney, owner of Footprints, has put the wheels in motion to actually do what I've day dreamed here. The word is that it would be every week for two months beginning in June.
I've only heard it referred to as the microwave tower. Supposedly it won architectural awards when it was built. By the way, the eyes were real. Back a few years ago someone spraypainted them that way. I never found out who...
I really like what you said about comprehending a new language. Word by word then phrase by phrase, this still happens to me too, even after thinking that I'd seen it all. For me it's a reminder to go see new things and not just the ones who's descriptions might appeal. When I think back to how I used to disparage artists (at first sight) that I now admire, I know I ain't seen nothin' yet.
jill- thanks for the comment (I do appreciate honest feedback). I'm still trying to figure out how to do these. Stay tuned, I think the narratives in newer ones are a little stronger.
reeveso - the last panel is based on a memory from about fifteen years ago, when my girlfriend at the time and I lived next door to Joe, and heard him singing along to an old Beatles record.
